Patchwork Drama

Patchwork is the junior arm of Pattingham Drama Group for children aged 8 -18.

The aim of Patchwork is to encourage young people to feel confident speaking and performing in public, to provide them with opportunities to experience theatre and be involved in amateur productions, and above all to have fun! We also look for opportunities to take the children to see productions or participate from time to time in external workshops. We meet on Thursday evenings during term time in Pattingham Village Hall 6-7.45pm.

We usually stage a production each year in the spring or summer for friends and families.  Our most recent production was an adaptation of a Roald Dahl story, Matilda: the Musical, which the group has staged before. Other productions include Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Peter Pan.  Patchwork has also staged  The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Patchwork Show Off! and Patchwork Perform! The group looked at aspects of mask work in Autumn 2022 with Vamos Theatre later running a mask workshop for our junior members.

There are also occasional opportunities for Patchworkers to perform with Pattingham Drama Group, for example in the recent pantomime The Sleeping Beauty and Shadowlands.

For your reassurance, we have a Child Protection Policy and all our leaders are DBS certificated. If you are interested in joining please contact Helen Wallington at:
